Nature and Game Management Trust Finland

WHO ARE WE?

Hunters and landowners play a key role in maintaining and enhancing biodiversity in Finland.

Careful and systematic game habitat management significantly enhances biodiversity in surrounding environments. By promoting this work, we aim to raise awareness of the important role that hunting and game management play in biodiversity conservation.

Hunters are an important stakeholder

The hunting community plays a vital role in biodiversity conservation. Through habitat management with landowners, hunters create environmental benefits that extend beyond their target species, supporting the broader wildlife ecosystem.

Collaboration with various stakeholders

The Nature and Game Management Trust collaborates with a range of stakeholders in the environmental and natural resources sector. It actively conducts conservation work, provides guidance and support for habitat management and works to influence policy decisions in ways that benefit both wildlife and nature as a whole.

The Trust is funded by private sector donations and has also received government support for its projects.
